Time to present a new feature, here at chasingthefox.com. It’s something we’ve been working on for a few weeks now, and we’re very proud to give you the first of many, in a monthly series of exclusive mixtapes. So from this month, you can expect a brand new, exclusive mixtape, published only here.
The mixtapes will vary as much in genre, as the stuff we post to the blog, but common for all of them will be, that they represent the same urban and up and coming sound as the artists we usualy feature. Actually, the first couple of artists we’ve lined up for you, have had stuff posted on the blog so far.
The debutante is a new name on the blog, but not a new artist. Anders Tresselt is a quarter of the quartet Okay Funky, which we have given extensive coverage on the blog, you can check out their Ballin’ EP or their track Badman Riddim. Apart from that, he’s been booking, DJing and producing in the Copenhagen underground for years, and helped break several danish artists into the mainstream. Niklas, Kidd, Stanley Most, Klumben, Topgunn, Raske Penge, Lucy Love, Mø, Copyflex, Kid Kishore and Albertslund Terror Korps, to name but a “few”.
Genrewise, Anders is always looking for what’s new in bass-music. Moombahton, Kuduro, Trap, Baille. He does it all. And with this new mix, he’s taking us 20 years back, to when abandoned warehouses where used for raving, pills had smileys on them and Justin Bieber was barely conceived yet. He describes it as Neo 90s and it’s 100% fox approved. So put on this badboy, turn up the music, and party like it’s 1995!
